About Me

Hi! I’m Ariel — a game developer with Cuban roots and a lifelong passion for creating interactive worlds. My journey began at age 13,
when I moved from Cuba to the United States and discovered the incredible power of video games to tell stories, spark imagination,
and build connections.

In 2020, I began my academic path at Miami Dade College, where I graduated with honors. During that time, I created
my first three games — an experience that confirmed game development wasn’t just a hobby for me, but a calling.
Today, I’m continuing that journey at Florida Polytechnic University, working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
with a specialization in Game Development. When I’m not studying, I’m usually building something new in Unity or Unreal Engine,
watching tutorials, experimenting with mechanics, or crafting 3D assets in Blender. I’m always learning, always iterating,
and always pushing to grow as both a developer and designer.

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore.

Level Designer | 1 Year Experience

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore is a classic-inspired MMORPG that blends deep lore, open-world exploration, and strategic combat.
As a Level Designer on the project for over a year, I focused on creating dungeons and environmental layouts that support
gameplay flow and narrative design. All content was developed in alignment with the creative direction provided by the lead
designer, ensuring consistency in world-building and player experience.

Ethyria - Level Design

I designed maps for Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore based on direction from the lead developer. My work focused on creating fun, balanced spaces that matched the game's mechanics and style. Some of my levels are featured in the video shown.

Tales From The Sky

Built in just one day for our IA class, this game features enemy AI and interactive NPCs. I handled level design, shaders, animation, particle systems, and parts of the UI. I also contributed to coding and brainstorming ideas with my teammate.

Official Trailer Everglades Adventure

This trailer showcases Everglades Adventure, our fully 3D capstone game developed at MDC's MAGIC program. I served as Lead Level Designer, created the main menu UI, built the custom water shader, and contributed to various polish tasks.
